ORBIT Receives Follow-Up Order for Airborne VSAT System for a Leading European Integrator
Netanya, Israel: December 30, 2014 – ORBIT Communication Systems, a leading provider of mission-critical communication solutions for Land, Sea and Air Platforms, announced today that its’ wholly owned subsidiary, ORBIT Communication Systems Inc., has received a follow-up order for its Airborne VSAT Platform for a leading European Integrator Designed for multiband operation in both Ka and Ku-bands, the VSAT system was jointly developed by ORBIT and Airbus’s Italian subsidiary, TeS Teleinformatica e Sistemi S.r.l., and incorporates cutting- edge VSAT technologies from both companies.
The cooperation between ORBIT and Airbus’s subsidiary is the result of a longstanding partnership which has produced several VSAT solutions over the years. “This follow-up order is a testament to the technological superiority of the Airborne VSAT solution.
