Director of Sales & Business Development – Orbit USA

Aerospace, EO/Remote Sensing and Tracking Systems in North America



  • Airborne satcom systems, for the aerospace market
  • LEO/MEO satellite-tracking ground stations, for the EO and remote sensing markets
  • Telemetry systems, for the defense market



Tracking antenna systems involving RF & microwave technologies, antennas and feeds, tracking motion controllers and electro-mechanical positioning subsystems


  • Contact, engage and manage accounts, using sales tools and skills to evaluate opportunities and provide technical product information, presentations, proposals and quotations, mainly for the Earth Observation and Tracking & Telemetry markets
  • Build and maintain strong and long-lasting customer relationships
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base


Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of relevant successful direct sales experience in the aerospace industry, serving commercial, governmental and defense markets
  • Extensive contacts in the aerospace vertical market
  • Technical background
  • Strong presentation and client relationship skills
  • Excellent negotiation and sales skills
  • Strong entrepreneurial approach to business development
  • Ability to meet annual and quarterly sales goals
  • Proficient in writing commercial proposals
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to perform well independently and as part of a team
  • Natural leader, with an ability to motivate and inspire sales teams


Educational Requirements

  • Preferably BSEE


Other Requirements

  • US citizen, residing on the East Coast in close proximity to a major airport
  • Extensive travel required (approximately 50% of the time, on average)
